COVINGTON, GEORGIA – Today, U.S. Ryder Cup Team Captain Davis Love III announced his four captain’s picks for this year’s team, including first-time participant Brandt Snedeker. With this announcement, Bridgestone Golf will send four staff members, its largest contingent ever, to the prestigious event.  Bridgestone’s TOUR players will serve as captain (Love), assistant captain (Fred Couples), and teammates (Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker) on this year’s U.S. team.

“It is exciting for Bridgestone to be so well-represented at the 2012 Ryder Cup,” said Dan Murphy, Vice President of Marketing – Bridgestone Golf, Inc.  “Davis Love III has all the makings of a truly great captain, and I am confident that thesefour will each contribute meaningfully to the American effort to regain theCup.”

Love enters Ryder Cup captaincy as one of the most decorated American Ryder Cup point earners ever securing 11.5 points in hisplaying career. Having captained two victorious President’s Cup teams in 2009 and 2011, Assistant Captain Couples’ strong leadership in international team competitions will serve the U.S. well. Rounding out the Bridgestone foursome is Brandt Snedeker. As one of the best pressure putters on TOUR expectations are high for Snedeker, a Ryder Cup rookie.

In competition, Kuchar and Snedeker will both rely on Bridgestone clubs and TOUR B330 family balls as they have done throughout career years on the PGA TOUR in 2012.  For more information on the equipment in Kuchar’s and Snedeker’s bags visit www.bridgestonegolf.com.
