KEN DUKE WINS 2011 NATIONWIDE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – October 31, 2011 – Cleveland® Golf congratulates staffer Ken Duke for his victory at the 2011 Nationwide Tour Championship over the weekend.  Duke shot a 4-under par 68 on Sunday on his way to a 10-under 278, which earned him a two-stroke victory at the season-ending Nationwide event held at the Ralston Creek Course at the Daniel Island Club.

With the largest purse of the year on the line and the tour’s top 60 money winners in the field, every player had an opportunity to make a big jump in positioning in The 25, the top Nationwide Tour money earners, which serves as a qualifier for players to earn 2012 PGA TOUR cards.  Duke took full advantage of the opportunity earning $180,000 for the win to move from a pre-tournament position of 36th up to the No. 7 spot on the final money list.  Duke finished the year with season’s earnings of $313,241.

Duke played a Cleveland® Launcher® Ultralite TL 310 driver (10.5° – Miyazaki™ C. Kua™ 59X), a Cleveland® Mashie fairway wood (14° – Miyazaki™ Kusala™ Black 83X), a Cleveland® Mashie hybrid TM3 (20.5° – Miyazaki™ Kusala™ Black 83X), Cleveland® CG7™ Tour irons (4-9), CG14™ wedges (48° / 52° / 58°), as well as a Never Compromise® Gambler™ Royal putter.

Cleveland® Golf/Srixon® earned a total of 10 Nationwide victories on the 2011 Nationwide Tour and finished the season with 8 players inside the Top 25, with seven of those players finishing in the top 12 spots.
