GolfTrainingAids.com Congratulates Contributor Dr. Alison Curdt

Renowned Southern California Teaching Pro Named to Elite National List

West Palm Beach, FL – GolfTrainingAids.com congratulates Dr. Alison Curdt, one of its instructional contributors who was just named to GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers to Watch list for the third consecutive time. Curdt is a valued GolfTrainingAids.com affiliate and produces video instruction content that incorporates tools sold on GolfTrainingAids.com.

“Alison is an amazing teacher who is tirelessly innovative in combining her collective knowledge and skills sets to make her instruction practical, easy-to-follow and actionable,” says GolfTrainingAids.com President John Diulus. “Congratulations to her on her latest accolades from GOLF Magazine. She will continue to be recognized for her talent and work, and we are extremely proud to have her as a partner and contributor.”

Making this exclusive GOLF Magazine list is an incredible honor for those who have earned their way onto it. First introduced in 2019 and expanded in 2021, the “Teachers to Watch” designation highlights rising stars in the golf instruction industry – those who are helping to shape the way golfers learn, think and play. The rigorous and competitive process is powered by the Top 100 Teachers Credentials Committee, and is the only national golf instructor search that combines outside academic and PGA peer review – according to the publication. Candidates – who are nominated by the PGA, LPGA and United States Golf Teachers Federation, among others – are screened against a set of criteria that evaluates their teaching experience and accomplishments, student portfolio and peer ratings, and overall commitment to growing the game.

“The accolades and awards validate that I’m doing the right things for my career, and I’m doing the right things to help the community and golfers feel better and play better,” says Curdt. “It certainly feels nice to be recognized by peers and by organizations for the hard work and dedication that I put into my career. This is my third cycle on the ‘Teachers to Watch’ list, so it’s extremely motivating to me to one day hopefully graduate to the Top 100 list.”

Curdt says her approach to teaching is more of a student-centered ideal and philosophy – incorporating a student’s strengths and weaknesses into creating a collaborative plan together to help him or her meet goals. “That’s allowed me to be a successful coach, because individuals don’t feel like they’re reinventing the wheel when it comes to their golf swing,” she says. “Every player has a strength we can build upon. Instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt to the needs of each student. So I feel equipped to help anybody who steps on to my lesson tee. Combining golf teaching and psychology into my work has opened a new dimension for me to help players on a deeper level. I’ve always been really interested in why students behave and do the things they do, and psychology has helped me understand that in addition to working with competitive players and the challenges they face when they don’t meet their expectations or goals. I have a new skill set and a toolbox that can help them on a deeper level rather than just from the outside.”

Curdt still wants to compete at a high playing level while continuing to bring new and diverse teaching methods to students and help them play their best. “I’d like to be considered the go-to person when someone’s looking at a particularly tough case that requires some more in-depth insight from a psychology perspective,” she says. “I’d like to be known as that person who can help that player perform his or her best.”
