Tom Lehman Withdraws from 2022 U.S. Senior Open

TOM LEHMAN has withdrawn from the 2022 U.S. Senior Open Championship on Thursday, June 23 due to an injury.
Lehman, 63, of Scottsdale, Ariz., was one of 76 exempt players in the field. The 1996 Open Championship winner was scheduled to compete in his 13th U.S. Senior Open. He will be replaced in the field by James Chung, a 51-year-old professional from Roxbury, N.J., the first alternate from the Indiana, Pa., site.

Chung is playing in his first U.S. Senior Open. He shot 68 at Indiana C.C. and was involved in a 2-for-1 playoff for the last spot in the qualifier. Chung will play with Mark O’Meara and David Duval in the first two rounds. The group will start from the 10th hole at 1:22 p.m. EDT on Thursday.

The 42nd U.S. Senior Open is being held at Saucon Valley Country Club’s Old Course, in Bethlehem, Pa., June 23-26, 2022.
