St. Augustine, FL (April 19, 2022) –The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival, presented by Publix + GreenWise Market has finalized plans for this year’s festival, which include cooking demonstration schedules for the Main Event on Saturday, celebrity chef/author book signings and some insider’s tips for expertly navigating festival week. *FREE Tasting Samples for the first 100 people in each cooking demonstration session. Celebrity Guest Chefs/Authors will be signing their cookbooks at the San Marco Books and More tent adjacent to the Southern Living Stage after cooking demonstrations.
Epicurean Master Classes – Friday, May 6, 11 am – 4:30 pm. Each afternoon class includes tasting bites and beverage pairings with fantastic celebrity chefs, limited to 50 guests each class. All ticket orders include a copy of the chef/author’s cookbook.
Kentucky Derby Hat Contest – Saturday, May 7, Main Event – Music Stage 2:30 pm (best hat voted by audience applause on Music Main Stage); winner will receive 4 VIP Lounge tickets to the Saturday, May 6, 2023, festival event. *Look for official bourbon, St. Augustine Distillery’s Mint Juleps available in the VIP Lounge in a souvenir glass.
Wine & Spirits Pull, a blind-pull of hundreds of varieties of wine and spirits (fantastic steals) at the Main Event on Saturday – starting at 1 pm; items usually sell-out in first hour, so get there early.
Fantastic Volunteer Opportunities: There are still some great festival volunteer opportunities available for the World Golf Hall of Fame Dinner and Saturday’s Main Event. Volunteer roles and positions are a great way to meet guest celebrities and get exclusive behind the scenes access to a variety of events. There are numerous opportunities and roles available for volunteers 21 and older to volunteer with the festival and receive free admission to events and more – earning free tickets to events with a minimum of only 8 volunteer hours. Insider’s Tips:
Arrive 30 minutes early for events – event pre-check (wristbands, ID check, receive glassware, etc.) Load your wristband immediately for additional Tasting Credits (avoid waiting in line later in the day). Wristband is pre-loaded with $10 in credits, festival recommends loading an average of $20 per person per wristband to taste a variety of culinary offerings. Credit stations are located at Admissions and in front of the World Golf Hall of Fame Tower. Thousands of Free Parking spaces; no pets allowed. Stay Hydrated – water and soft drinks are FREE on Friday and Saturday events.
Wednesday, May 4, 2022 – NEW EVENT: River Walk Tastings, 6:30 – 9 pm A progressive San Sebastian Riverfront tasting from San Sebastian Winery’s Rooftop Cellar and the beautiful riverfront courtyard of the Homewood Suites San Sebastian. Tickets include a trolley to and from each venue, all-inclusive food and beverage tastings with a souvenir glass; wines from San Sebastian Winery, along with tasting bites from Chef Norberto Jaramillo with La Cocina International Restaurant. Homewood Suites will feature tasting bites along with samplings from all the festival’s official beverage partners.
Thursday, May 5, 2022 – “World Golf Hall of Fame Winemaker’s Dinner” 6-7 pm Reception; 7-10 pm Dinner, St. Johns County Convention Center 500 S. Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, FL, 32092. A gourmet food lover’s experience with a six-course dinner, featuring local chefs and television celebrity guest chefs/James Beard Foundation award-winning and nominated chefs, including the world’s first female Iron Chef, Cat Cora, Chef/Author and TV personality with multiple restaurants around the world. Cat has recently launched a new non-alcoholic wine brand, Hand on Heart Wine, which will be featured at the festival. The dinner will also include Jernard Wells, Chef/Author and TV personality; James Beard Foundation multi-nominated, William Dissen, Chef/Owner The Market Place, in Asheville, NC; Hari Pulapaka, multi-nominated James Beard Foundation Chef/Author, The Global Cooking School, DeLand; Barry Honan, Executive Chef/Owner Lotus Noodle Bar and the Renaissance World Golf Village Executive Chef, DeeAnn Hobbs. Each course will be paired with wine – from celebrities such as Master Sommelier, Will Costello, with Miller Family Wines, LPGA Hall of Famer, Jan Stephenson and more. The reception includes an Open Bar with an extensive Charcuterie display from Brian Whittington of Preserved Restaurant and Chop Shop Artisan Butcher in St. Augustine, featuring a variety of hand-butchered meats and locally made breads and accoutrements.
The evening will include a live auction fundraiser for the festival’s charity partners, the World Golf Hall of Fame and Jan Stephenson’s Crossroads Foundation and an extensive silent auction during the reception with luxury travel, golf and more. The festival will partner with several local, non-profit organizations on various events. The World Golf Hall of Fame and Jan Stephenson’s Crossroads Foundation are the festival’s two primary 501(c)3 charity partners, with 100% of the live and silent auction proceeds from the festival benefiting both charities.

The St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival is a celebration of culinary, beverage, culture and music that highlights celebrity guest chefs and local chefs.
