The Golf Performance Center’s Tyler Campbell Named One of Golf Digest’s 50 Best Golf-Fitness Trainers in America

(RIDGEFIELD, Conn.) – The Golf Performance Center (The GPC) – a junior golf academy and industry thought leader in player development innovations, premium technology and facilities – announces Tyler Campbell, Director of Performance, has been named one of America’s 50 Best Golf-Fitness Trainers by Golf Digest.

Campbell develops innovative performance programs to address each golfer’s physical limitations, no matter their age or ability, allowing them the best opportunity to stay healthy and perform at their highest level. Specializing in working with elite juniors, he has been improving athlete’s physical function and athletic performance for the benefit of their golf swing for nearly ten years.

“This well-earned recognition is not only an honor for Tyler but for the entire Golf Performance Center team,” says The GPC’s Founder, Roger Knick. “His expertise in sports medicine and holistic approach to golf performance is a critical part of our 5 Elements of Success, which guides every one of our athlete’s journeys to better golf.”

The West Virginia University graduate was selected by a panel of 10 of the most respected experts in golf fitness. Now in his ninth year at The GPC, Campbell holds TPI Fitness Level 3 certification and is certified as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Campbell is also a key part of the expansion of the Player Development Index (PDI), a proprietary algorithm that leverages key physical and golf performance measurements to create the game’s most accurate indicator of true potential. Designed to help all golfers reach their goals, the PDI is built on objective measurement of an athlete’s golf skills and physical performance.

For more than 20 years, The GPC has successfully guided nearly 100 competitors as they prepare for golf at the highest levels. Alumni include multiple NCAA All-Americans, current and former student-athletes at 80 different colleges and universities and professionals who have won on the Korn Ferry Tour, Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada and European Tour.
