Lynx Golf Debuts New Clubs at 2019 PGA Merchandise Show

Iconic Brand Exhibiting at Demo Day, Convention Center Booth #943
(Weybridge, Surrey, UK) – Lynx® Golf – the iconic equipment brand trusted by multiple major championship winners over its storied history – continues its aggressive return to the U.S. market with the debut of a variety of new clubs at the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
The family-owned British company will showcase these innovative products, including the first look at a revolutionary new driver, alongside its existing equipment and accessories lines at booth #943 at the Orange County Convention Center. Additionally, select clubs will be available to sample at the annual Demo Day event, held Tuesday, January 22 at Orange County National Golf Center (Winter Garden, Fla.). This includes Parallax®, Black Cat and Predator clubs for men, Crystal® and Tigress® clubs for women, and more.
Beyond unveiling new gear at the world’s largest golf trade exhibition, company executives will also be seeking partners with established sales networks in the United States to grow the brand’s availability within the country and beyond.
“Reaction to a revitalized Lynx brand in the UK and throughout Europe has been phenomenal with sales projected to increase by 135% percent from 2017,” says Stephanie Zinser, Lynx® Golf CFO and co-owner. “Now, we’re ready to continue our momentum with an assertive plan to enhance market-share in the United States.”
“Our goal since day one has been to reestablish Lynx as one of the top-5 major golf brands worldwide,” says Steve Elford, CEO and co-owner. “The quality and breadth of our products, combined with unmatched customer service and dedication to true innovation is what makes us stand out in a sea of companies who are all trying to imitate one another.”
Founded in the 1970’s by John Riley Sr. and Carl Ross, Lynx® Golf quickly established a large and loyal following among the game’s best players. This included legendary ambassadors who trusted the brand to help them capture victories at the 1992 Masters and 1994 US Open, among other wins.
More recently, in the UK in 2011 Lynx® was licensed to Charles Claire LLP, based in Weybridge, Surrey, owned by husband and wife Elford and Zinser. In 2013, Charles Claire fully acquired the Lynx® marque for the UK and Europe, and just over a year ago it acquired the Global Lynx® Trademark Portfolio from Dick’s Sporting Goods in the USA.
Under the new UK ownership, Lynx® Golf has become one of the great success stories in the golf industry, recording double-digit annual sales increases every year since 2013. In 2018, sales were up over 50% year-over-year and the company now has more than 1000 live retail accounts in 15 European countries.
Its renowned product lines include everything from TOUR-caliber clubs, such as the Prowler VT irons, to products geared for mid-to-high handicappers. At the professional level, the brand continues to draw talent, as its ambassadors include the legendary Dame Laura Davies and former European Tour standout, and current Sky Sports TV presenter, Nick Dougherty, as well as Lydia Hall, Becky Brewerton and Trish Johnson.
