GolfPunk Launches Responsive Website

Celebrating the greatest game on earth the new website from GolfPunk is now live. It’s a fully responsive site designed for seamless viewing on any device.

GolfPunk was launched by Tim Southwell (co-founder of Loaded Magazine) and John Dean when they realized they weren’t reading golf magazines anymore becaue they were simply too boring. Originally a printed magazine, GolfPunk has always been at the cutting edge of technology and innovation, bucking the trend and moving to a digital magazine in 2012. It has now moved again to a website to reflect the way consumers want to view content. is a celebration of the greatest game on earth. GolfPunk will feature player interviews, equipment, travel, fashion, instruction, Swingin’ Sirens (the world’s sexiest golfers), hilarious golf cartoons and daily news.

We have a fresh and exciting approach to golf, which we believe will reverse the current trend for young golfers to drift away from the game.

For the launch of we have picked our all time Top 50 GolfPunks

Included in our Top 50 are:

Bobby Jones – a GolfPunk simply by virtue of the fact that he changed the game forever and gave us Augusta.

Lefty Stackhouse, on the other hand, is a GolfPunk because he added so much colour to the game with his erratic antics, once knocking himself out with a self- inflicted punch to the jaw after missing a short putt.

Many of our favourites are archetypal winners like Sam Snead and Lee Trevino – players who matched their considerable natural talents with ruthless ambition. Others, like Mo Norman and John Daly, have spent their lives sampling triumph and despair, and we love them all the more for it. And where would the game be without unsung nut cases like serial club abusers KyLafoon and Lefty Stackhouse?

A funny bunch, but what unites every single one of these people is an undying love for the game, and while there are people out on the course who keep breaking records, busting clubs, walking on water and wading through burns we will salute these GolfPunks one and all.
