20-Year Golf Industry Veteran to Pioneer New Initiatives for KENTWOOL’s Performance Business
Greenville, S.C. — KENTWOOL, makers of the “World’s Best Golf Sock,” announced today that 20-year golf industry veteran and brand-development expert Dan Murphy is the new President of the company. Murphy comes to KENTWOOL from Bridgestone Golf, where he served as Executive VP of Marketing & Sales.
Murphy joins KENTWOOL after successfully helping to build some of the biggest brands in the world of golf. Before joining Bridgestone, where he is credited with leading the ball manufacturer to a clear number two position in the category, Murphy led marketing efforts at Maxfli, TaylorMade and Dunlop. In his new role at KENTWOOL, Murphy will bring his consumer marketing insights and brand-building expertise to help further establish the Tour Series as the “World’s Best Golf Sock,” while growing the brand’s direct-to-consumer business.
