TGA Premier Junior Golf Continues National Growth with First Franchise in Oklahoma

Former assistant golf professional brings school based junior golf model to Northwest Oklahoma County.

Oklahoma City, OK – The expansion continues for TGA Premier Junior Golf, with the establishment of its first franchise territory in the state of Oklahoma.
Jacob Bell, a former assistant golf professional, has joined one of the nation’s premier youth sports companies by acquiring the geographic rights to TGA Premier Junior Golf in Northwest Oklahoma County.

“Jacob brings a strong passion for youth sports and teaching youth the game of golf, which will allow him to develop a successful self-sustaining business that will grow the game while impacting and enriching the lives of youth,” said Steve Tanner, chief operating officer of TGA. “Central Oklahoma is a very strong golfing market and we are excited to expand our school-based activation model to the region.”

Bell, who grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma, attended the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach where he began learning the golf industry and teaching the game. For the past two years, he has been working as an assistant golf professional at Ponca City Country Club while researching career opportunities in the golf industry.
Bell discovered TGA and the unique opportunity it presented to build your own business while having a major impact on the growth of the game.

“Golf has always been my passion, and I could not think of a better career opportunity then to be able teach the game to as many youth as possible in schools,” Bell said. “TGA’s model is a great way to introduce the students to the game of golf, not only a new lifelong sport, but also one that will instill, honesty, integrity and confidence in their lives.”

TGA’s five level golf enrichment program enables children to advance from one stage to the next while building confidence and self-esteem. The unique curriculum is designed to enrich students’ lives through physical activity, health and nutrition and character building. The program also incorporates academic lessons in math, science, social studies and language.

TGA Premier Junior Golf of Central Oklahoma is expected to impact thousands of youth annually by introducing the game of golf to children at elementary and middle schools, child care centers and community organizations through a multi-level enrichment program. TGA will then transition students and families from schools to local partner golf courses through camps and parent-child events, and in the process create new golfers and generate new customers for those courses.

“I am excited and honored to grow the number of golfers in Central Oklahoma while impacting our youth,” Bell said. “The life skills that this program offers is priceless and I can’t think of a better way to impact golf’s future than through TGA.”
