JACK NICKLAUS HONORS PRESIDENT GERALD R. FORD’S LEGACY AT LUNCHEON

Nicklaus to hold media briefing in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Sept. 9, 2013) – On September 12, golf legend Jack Nicklaus will participate in a luncheon conversation in honor of President Gerald R. Ford’s Centennial Birthday. Steve Ford, son of President and Betty Ford, will join Nicklaus on stage during the conversation. Also, Zach Hope, actor and grandson of entertainer Bob Hope, will be participating in the program.

The luncheon, A Conversation with Golf Legend Jack Nicklaus, will take place at noon in the JW Marriott’s International Ballroom. Proceeds will go towards curriculum development at the new Learning Center being constructed at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids.

Nicklaus, known to many as “The Golden Bear,” served as an honorary pallbearer during President Ford’s funeral. He is regarded as one of the most accomplished professional golfers of all time. Nicklaus ranks third behind Sam Snead and Tiger Woods with 73 PGA career victories.
