UBERSENSE JOINS 2013 SYMETRA TOUR – ROAD TO THE LPGA

Official Mobile Golf App to Capture Player Swings for Exclusive Video Content

Winter Park, FL; March 20, 2013 – As the official mobile golf app of the 2013 Symetra Tour, Ubersense joins the official developmental tour of the LPGA in its 33rd season during the Florida’s Natural Charity Classic, March 22-24, 2013. The second stop of the 15-event tour, which serves as the best pipeline for players to reach the LPGA, marks the beginning of Ubersense’s partnership and role in recording exclusive video content for the app with Tour players, including the top 10 players on the money list who will earn fully-exempt LPGA Tour cards for the first time.

“It is a dream come true to watch the technology I created three years ago to improve my own golf game be applied to these amazing athletes, one of whom could be the next Lorena Ochoa,” says Ubersense CEO Krishna Ramchandran. “The videos we create featuring the Symetra Tour participants will be an invaluable learning content to share with the Ubersense community of amateur and professional athletes and coaches.”

Ubersense Golf, formerly known as SwingReader, has been widely adopted by PGA Professionals nationwide as a coaching tool, as well as by players of all skill levels looking to improve their game. As one of the most popular video analysis apps available in the Apple App Store, Ubersense allows its users to record and upload video to analyze through slow motion, side-by-side and overlay comparison to professional videos, and telestration (essentially “writing” on the paused video to show proper technique and angles). Additionally, these videos can be shared with coaches who can then mark up the video or record feedback over the video to send back to the athlete.

“The goal of this partnership with Ubersense is to enhance the interaction between our professionals and amateurs worldwide,” said Mike Nichols, Chief Business Officer for the Symetra Tour. “By comparing their own swings against that of the professionals, it will give amateurs immediate visual feedback on how they can improve their swings.”

Following the Florida’s Natural Charity Classic at the Lake Region Yacht and Country Club in Winter Haven, FL, Ubersense continues its video sessions with the LPGA hopefuls at the Symetra Tour’s third stop, held April 26-28, 2018 in Sarasota, FL at the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay.
