FOURTEEN GOLF TO LAUNCH NEW TC-930FG FORGED IRONS AT UPCOMING PGA MERCHANDISE SHOW

IRVINE, CA – DECEMBER 21, 2011 – FOURTEEN GOLF, the worldwide leader in wedge design with over 38 professional tour victories, announced today that the company has expanded its iron offerings with the introduction of the TC-930FG Forged Irons and attendees at the 2012 PGA Show will be the first to see these eye-catching beauties.

FOURTEEN GOLF has earned a reputation for producing some of the most classically designed, tour inspired, forged irons in the world. In 2010, Golf Digest awarded the FOURTEEN GOLF TC-910FG Forged Irons with an honorable silver award in the “Players Irons” category and in 2011 the Golf Digest judges recognized the FOURTEEN GOLF TC-510FG Forged Irons with four stars for performance and awarded them another silver honor in the “Game Improvement” category. The newly developed FOURTEEN GOLF TC-930FG Forged Irons have been developed with FOURTEEN GOLF’s rich forged iron heritage but should create a legacy of their own.

Golf equipment engineered and designed by FOURTEEN GOLF is intended to improve a particular or specific type of golfer. The TC-930FG Forged Irons are aimed to help the athletic golfer with club head speeds in excess of 43m/sec.
To accommodate this type of player, the club head on the TC-930FG Forged Irons feature an extremely low CG which is perfectly aligned. This precise positioning combined with a longer head length encourages club head control. The CG varies based on the length of the club. Long iron shots now will produce less spin while the short irons shots now will deliver optimal spin.

This low CG provides the correct amount of spin for each shot and generates consistency on every shot.

To ensure the TC-930FG Forged Irons are easy-to-hit, the FOURTEEN GOLF engineering team developed a power “pocket” between the neck and the face. This “pocket” appears to make the club look slightly offset and easy to address the ball.

For the FOURTEEN GOLF signature feeling, the TC-930FG Forged Irons are manufactured with a soft S20C iron material. Multiple finishes give these irons a striking appearance. A mirror finish is used on the cavity portion of the club head and a bead blast finish is used at the impact zone which is complimented by a pearl finish.

The highly attractive, traditionally shaped, TC-930FG Forged Irons feature the company’s proprietary trapezoid grooves which conform to the new groove rule. This distinctive sharply-edged trapezoidal groove undergoes a mirror-face milling process which precisely and carefully mills each groove for optimal spin.

The company spent years engineering a new trapezoidal shaped groove so the TC-930FG Forged Irons as well as FOURTEEN GOLF’s total product line would be in compliance with the new groove regulations effective in 2010 for the professional tours and 2014 for amateurs and tournaments.

The TC-930FG Forged Iron set is offered in a #4 iron through pitching wedge and a #3-iron can be purchased separately. For exceptional performance the Dynamic Gold Shaft by True Temper with variable wall technology comes standard on the TC-930FG Forged Irons.

According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “These irons provide the ultimate combination for the athletic golfer. They are easy to hit and control. Players with high swing speeds will enjoy their stability as well as consistency. We invite those with an aggressive swing who are attending the PGA Show or Demo Day to try them.”

These tour tested forged irons will begin shipping in December of 2011 and will be available for testing at the 10th Annual PGA Demo Day on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Orlando, FL. PGA Merchandise Show attendees can also test the new TC-930FG Forged Irons, at the FOURTEEN GOLF Hitting Bay #41 in the Equipment Testing Center in the Orange County Convention Center.

FOURTEEN GOLF is a burgeoning golf equipment company that takes great pride in their tour program. The company has recently signed PGA Professionals Chad Collins and Arjun Atwal. These two additions to the FOURTEEN GOLF professional staff proves that the FOURTEEN GOLF tour program is succeeding which is critical to the company’s overall growth initiative. The feed back they receive from the touring professionals furnish key information for the research and development team as well as provides keen visibility.
