Golfing Football Fans Can “Get in the Game” at Edwin Watts Golf Shops;
Wear Your Favorite Team’s Colors to Win Prizes and Receive Special Discounts

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., September 15, 2011…Think Golf It’s Football Season and “Get in the Game” at Edwin Watts Golf Shops (EWGS).  On the heels of the successful Think Golf It’s Friday Tour™, and with the 2011 college football season now underway, Edwin Watts Golf Shops, one of the world’s largest specialty golf retailers with over 90 locations, has announced a new program to support golfing college football fans that enjoy showing their school spirit.  The Tallahassee store at 2423 Capital Circle Northeast will kick off the new campaign on Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17, as fans will have an opportunity to win an assortment of great prizes and receive special discounts, simply by coming into the store outfitted in team colors.

Each week, one EWGS market will host a “Game of the Week,” and vendor partners will be on-site at a predetermined store in that market on the Friday before the big game.  These events will be free and open to the public, while providing consumers with the opportunity to test out the latest product innovations from leading brands, tune-up their game with custom club & ball fitting, register to win an assortment of prizes, and much more.

While the Tallahassee store will kick-off this program, golfers in all markets that have an EWGS can stop by their local store for an opportunity to win an assortment of prizes and receive spectacular deals.

For those golfing football fans without an EWGS location in their market, a web component will be included in the season-long campaign.  All fans that purchase team logoed equipment and accessories at www.edwinwattsgolf.com will receive free shipping on all items and will have an opportunity to register to win a team logoed bag.

“College football fans and alumni love their golf, so we thought it would be a neat idea to add some excitement around football season, and provide special offers and incentives for football fans to show their team spirit,” said John Watson, CEO, Edwin Watts Golf Shops.
