KINGSTON, JAMAICA – September, 2011 – Golf travelers and tournament players interested in participating in the 6th Annual Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am “Annie’s Revenge” can now reserve a space by registering at (www.Jamaicaproam.com).  Team entries are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.  The tournament will be played at White Witch and Cinnamon Hill Golf Courses,December 7 – 11, 2011, in Jamaica’s tourist capital, Montego Bay. The celebrated, all-inclusive, Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall resort will be the host hotel for tournament participants, offering players and guests a five-day, high-value resort experience.

The Jamaica Tourist Board has teamed up with NIKE GOLF to present the Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am nicknamed “Annie’s Revenge,” after the legendary story of the White Witch of Rose Hall. The foursome teams are comprised of three amateur golfers and a professional.  Teams will compete over 54-holes, playing both the Cinnamon Hill and White Witch course as they vie for the Jamaica Pro-Am Championship crystal trophy which will be retained by the winning team for a period of one-year.

We expect to view skillful play this year as the teams tee-off at two of Jamaica’s top championship courses. With the addition of Iberostar as the host hotel, players will have a one-stop experience for their food and beverage needs while relaxing in first-rate hotel accommodations. The tournament has successfully sold-out over the years. We’re hoping for the same success this time around.”

Golf Professionals will have the opportunity to compete for $15,000 USD in prize money, while amateurs have the opportunity to win great prizes donated by official sponsors, including NIKE GOLF, American Airlines, and the Iberostar Grand Hotel Rose Hall.  Amateur prizes will be awarded for team finish in four flights and exciting on-course contest holes.
