Arccos Golf Hires Keith Swenson as Senior Director of Sales

(STAMFORD, CT) – Arccos Golf – maker of Golf’s #1 Performance Tracker – announces the hiring of Keith Swenson as Senior Director of Sales.

In his new role, Swenson will oversee Arccos’ golf retail sales program in the United States and Canada. This notably includes key account relationships with DICK’S Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Golf Town, PGA Tour Superstore and Worldwide Golf Shops, as well as management of Arccos’ national green grass sales force.

“Coming off a record Q4 buoyed by launch of Arccos 360 and golf’s first connected club – Cobra Connect Powered by Arccos – our business is poised to reach new heights in 2017,” says Sal Syed, Arccos CEO. “Keith’s passion for golf, industry experience and sales expertise make him the ideal person to ensure we achieve our lofty sales goals.”

A graduate of the University of Connecticut where he played on the golf team, Swenson has spent 19 years in sales management. He most recently led the golf, action sport and tactical sales teams at FGX International Inc., the world’s leading designer and marketer of sunglasses and optical frames with a brand portfolio that includes Reebok, Ironman, Ryders, Gargoyles, Rawlings and Panama Jack, among many others. Prior to FGX, Swenson served in various capacities for Stylemark / StyleScience, MacGregor Golf and Edwin Watts Golf.

Boasting 14 ultralight sensors that are 50% smaller than the original Arccos system, Arccos 360 also incorporates a powerful new shot detection algorithm that virtually eliminates the need for tee-to-green shot editing. System features include:

Hands-Free Shot Tracking – Automatically record each shot without the need for tagging, tapping or other annoying disruptions
Real-Time Player Data – Get info for Smart Distance (club averages), club gapping, driving accuracy, greens in regulation, sand saves, putts and much more
Tour Analytics – Know your personal strengths and weaknesses through an enhanced version of the Strokes Gained methodology that provides handicap breakdowns for driving, approach, chipping, sand and putting
Rangefinder GPS – Receive exact distances (in yards or meters) to any point on 40,000 courses, as well as one-touch distances for front/middle/back of greens
Web Dashboard – Take a deep dive – with or without your instructor – to view complete stats and playing patterns for every club, shot, hole and round
Permanent Battery – Certified for 24-months without charging but designed to last much longer
Power Saving – Allows users to play rounds in airplane or low power mode, dramatically reducing phone battery drain and eliminating data roaming during international travel
By accessing the Tour Analytics web dashboard, Arccos users and their instructors can gain valuable insights via deep dives into stats, playing patterns and rich data comparison for every club, shot, hole and round. Developed in conjunction with golf’s most renowned statistician, Peter Sanders, Tour Analytics draws from his work with PGA Tour star Zach Johnson and many others. It breaks down a players’ handicap into five key components – driving, approach, chipping, sand game and putting – helping golfers:

Understand exactly how each part of their game contributes to scoring
Compare data in each of the five components with golfers of similar handicaps
Evaluate patterns across their golf history, supporting refinement of on-course tactics
The Arccos product portfolio also includes Arccos Driver ($49.99), a single-sensor solution that delivers live data for tee shot distances, fairways hit and more. It functions by automatically detecting each drive, then using a player’s smart phone to record second shot position. Among the other is the King of the Hole game, which turns any par 4 or par 5 into a virtual long drive competition.
