Golf Vacation Insider Welcomes Jereme Day as Associate Publisher

December 9, 2015, New York, N.Y. – Golf Vacation Insider, the Internet’s leading source of independent golf travel advice, announces Jereme Day has been named as Associate Publisher of the Revolution Golf Group, overseeing both Golf Vacation Insider and the publication’s sister golf media platform, Revolution Golf. Day spent the last 10 years of his career at Golfweek, having served most recently as its Vice President/Publisher. In this newly created position, Day will be focused on creating programs designed to give marketing partners access to the Golf Vacation Insider audience of over 400,000 subscribers.

“Golf Vacation Insider is currently in a phase of developing a broad range of innovative opportunities for our marketing partners to effectively connect with our audience,” said David Baum, President and Group Publisher of the Revolution Golf Group. “In Jereme, we have a highly-respected, much-liked and experienced publishing professional, whose knowledge of integrated digital campaigns including video, native advertising and integrated content platforms will contribute to our growth. We are excited to have Jereme on our team.”

During his 15 years in the golf industry, Day held various positions at Golfweek where he established a track record of growing revenue and market share by creating multi-platform solutions for his clients. Prior to Golfweek, he was a senior account manager for GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America).

“I am thrilled to join Golf Vacation Insider, as it offers a robust digital platform that provides resort, destination and lifestyle partners a 21st century approach to reaching one of the largest, targeted, and most responsive audiences of avid golf audiences in the world,” commented Day. “I look forward to helping Golf Vacation Insider and our partners make the most of this progressive platform.”

Findings from a recent online survey suggest the collective golf travel purchasing power of the Golf Vacation Insider audience and their travel companions is about $6 billion, making it an attractive and efficient vehicle for golf resorts, destination, and lifestyle marketers to target this niche.

“With average email open rates in excess of 50% – 3x to 4x greater than most of our competitors – the Golf Vacation Insider audience actually behaves like an audience of 1.2 million to 1.6 million avid golfers,” added Baum. “With Jereme on board, we look forward to offering our partners new and effective ways to successfully achieve their marketing goals.”

Golf Vacation Insider’s subscriber base is currently growing at a rate of 5,000 per month, despite robust list hygiene efforts such as voluntarily ‘turning off’ inactive subscribers. Golf Vacation Insider’s email subscribers and website visitors get expert, honest and trustworthy advice on where to play, stay and dine worldwide.
