New Refresher FS2 Food and Beverage Vehicle Helps Drive Golf Course Profitability

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Cushman® is pleased to introduce the Refresher® FS2™, an exciting new revenue-producing addition to its Refresher food and beverage line. The Refresher FS2 is equipped with exclusive FlexServe Technology, a revolutionary point-of-sale concept designed specifically to increase revenue at golf operations.

“There is no other product in the golf industry today with the revenue-generating power of the Refresher FS2,” said Michael R. Parkhurst, vice president, golf for E-Z-GO, which designs and manufactures Cushman vehicles. “The customizable and modular design of the Refresher FS2 combines the clubhouse, pro shop and grill into a mobile storefront that will promote sales and increase a golf club’s profitability, both on the course and for special events.”

FlexServe Technology was developed exclusively for Cushman by 19th Hole, a leader in the design and manufacture of food-and-beverage units for golf vehicles. The customizable, modular, multi-purpose design of the Refresher FS2 with FlexServe Technology features 100 percent accessible storage, 40 percent more merchandising capacity and 14 cubic feet of dry storage space.

Industry-firsts of the Refresher FS2 include a highly versatile end cap with reversible insert for serving morning coffee or afternoon drinks, and a 10-square-foot, wrap-around counter with plenty of space for preparation of drinks and meals, and for staging and exchanging merchandise. The counter is made of durable material that withstands the weather as well as daily trips on the fairways.

The one-of-a-kind modular design of the Refresher FS2 allows every course to customize the vehicle’s merchandise within minutes for on-course sales or for special events, such as club socials or outdoor receptions. Each unit contains three modules that total 24 inches of highly visible merchandising space. The six-inch snack module features one pullout polycarbon pegboard that provides a visual display to drive impulse purchases. A six-inch storage module contains five racks for plenty of space to store an assortment of beverage cups. A 12-inch merchandise display cabinet with adjustable shelves is located on each side of the unit.

Two full-extension sliding cooler drawers allow for fast and easy access to products to speed pace of play. Quick loading and unloading of merchandise make for more selling time on the course. Each drawer has a built-in locking mechanism as a safety feature, and is fully insulated to keep beverages cold. The drawers may be fitted with optional National Sanitation Foundation-certified inserts designed to store and serve consumable ice.

The Refresher FS2 also has three cubic feet of storage capacity for trash and recyclables, with two removable plastic bins, a feature not found on any other refreshment vehicle within the industry.

In addition, a removable, water-resistant, slate-colored canopy with a new sleek design allows for easy cleaning and changing out for special events.

Beneath the hood, the Refresher FS2’s 13.5 hp, 401cc Kawasaki® engine generates plenty of power and torque to traverse steep paths. An optional limited-slip differential greatly improves traction on wet or loose terrain, while helping to protect turf from damage due to wheel slippage. A new heavy-duty suspension keeps the Refresher FS2 ride smooth and comfortable throughout the long days on the course.

The Refresher FS2 with FlexServe Technology is available for order now.
