AVENTURA, Fla. (February 29, 2012) – In time for the World Golf Championships in March, the legendary Turnberry Isle Miami resort, which is renowned for its Raymond Floyd-designed championship golf courses, is helping guests and club members play like the pros through two cutting-edge golf schools.

MARCH 5-10: KINETIC PERFORMANCE CENTER

Golfers will receive an in-depth evaluation on day-one and then two days of game-changing instruction designed to look at all biomechanics of the body in order to create a detailed and personalized action plan. Kinetic Performance System’s evaluation process is the most advanced in the world and analyzes everything from strengths and weaknesses, sports-related injuries, vision and depth perception testing to 3D biomechanics evaluation, 2D high speed video analysis, TPI golf-specific fitness screening and current equipment evaluation.

For $999 per person, participants enjoy a comprehensive 90-minute evaluation; green reading/putting and individual evaluation follow-up consultations; custom gross-motor-development training; body swing connection; on-course sessions; advanced motor training; training vs. practicing with technique implementation; wedge play technique; body swing connection and performance challenges, plus lunch on both days.

MARCH 18: MARIUS SHORT GAME SCHOOL

The best way to improve your scores is by improving your short game and what better way than with instruction from Marius Filmalter, who is a short game instructor to a number of PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour golfers including Ernie Els, Mike Weir and Chad Campbell. Marius also invented the SAM PuttLab and the TOMI putting system.

Golfers have their choice of enrolling in a half-day putting or short-game program at $399 each or an all-encompassing full-day school for $798. The half-day and full-day programs are not limited to, but include a variation of the following: learning handicaps; fundamentals of the game; club fitting; measurement and analysis of putting strokes on TOMI; drills and exercise; adjusting to different types of grass; grain and speeds of greens; and green reading and pre-shot routine.
