CARLSBAD, CALIF. (July 20, 2011) — TMAX Gear, the exclusive licensee for all TaylorMade and adidas Golf branded golf bags, gloves, headwear & accessories, is proud to announce their 2011 golf bag line-up awards in Golf Digest’s 2011 golf bag “Hot List” issue. For the first time ever, a TMAX bag received back-to-back gold medals. The Pure-Lite 2.0 scored gold, while the Catalina Cart and Micro-Lite 2.0 both earned a silver medal.
The annually published golf bag “Hot List” is recognized by the golf industry and golf enthusiasts alike as a leading independent guide to the best new introductions of golf equipment and accessories. Golf bags from top manufacturers were judged by Golf Digest’s team of equipment editors.
The Pure-Lite 2.0 is TMAX’s lightest full-size bag and separates its self from other stand bags with its numerous features. This year’s 2.0 version took last year’s gold-medal winner and added an anti-slip mechanism to the stand system to prevent the legs from slipping out. This year’s Pure-Lite 2.0 also includes ventilated ergonomic straps that equally distribute weight, decreasing fatigue and allowing a comfortable walk for the player. In addition, the bag has a six-way top with an integrated handle, seven total pockets (including a valuables pocket with internal key/ring clip), full-length dividers, and is available in seven different color options.
The Catalina Cart and Micro-Lite 2.0 both earned the highly-regarded silver medal for their durability and playability. The Catalina Cart features nine pockets (one accordion expandable side pocket), integrated front handles for easy cart loading, integrated putter tube, TPR cart strap lock, full-length dividers, a large insulated cooler pocket with drainage ports, and comes in six different color options.
Weighing less than four pounds, the Micro-Lite 2.0 is TMAX’s lightest stand bag. The bag features a four-way top, seven total pockets ((including a valuables pocket with internal key/ring clip), ventilated ergonomic straps, full-length dividers, and is available in five different color options.
“It’s exciting to see our most popular bag be rewarded with another gold medal,” said Gregg Hemphill, TMAX’s vice president of marketing/communications. “It’s going to be tough to out-do ourselves with next year’s Pure-L
