Benefiting the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the CMAA Student Chapter at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management

ORLANDO, FL (July 6, 2011) – The Annual Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) proudly announces the 16th Annual Sunshine Region Charity Golf Tournament will be held at Bay Hill Club & Lodge on September 19, 2011, to benefit the Kids’ Kidney Center at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, and the CMAA Student Chapter at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management.   The tournament is a Shamble Format with entry fee including buffet breakfast, tournament play and an awards luncheon with live raffle and open bar.  Prizes will be awarded to tournament winners, closest to the pin on par 3’s, and longest drive.   Entry fee of $1,000 per team / $250 per individual include range balls, breakfast and lunch, all golf fees, refreshments on the golf course, and tee gifts.    Click here to view the tournament registration brochure.

The proceeds will benefit the children of Central Florida suffering from chronic kidney disease and seeking treatment at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.    These children will have the opportunity to receive their care in a state-of-the-art facility designed exclusively for children.   Additionally, because it is a part of the Arnold Palmer Hospital, the children’s families will also be able to take advantage of the many needed services provided by a multi-disciplinary team of child care specialists.

The Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida (UCF) will also be facilitating various components of the event.   Rosen College students in the CMAA chapter and those enrolled in golf and club management classes during the fall 2011 semester will have the opportunity to volunteer and attend the event, transcending the traditional boundaries of the classroom while working alongside experienced industry professionals at one of the country’s most recognizable golf clubs.
